The Law Enforcement Business.

Just finished reading a book called, “How to Arrest Proof Yourself”.  The author has been a cop, FBI Special Agent, and now works as a defense attorney.  He explains how the criminal justice system is set up keep poor, uneducated people in jails and how the law enforcement system makes money off of this.  I mean think about it, Lindsey Lohan should still in in the LA County lock up, except that it was costing LA more money to lock her up, than would have been brought in if she couldn’t afford a high priced defense attorney, and if she didn’t have her every move scrutinized by the public and news media.    The police make money by keeping the underclass locked up, because they generally can’t fight back.  The entire criminal justice system is very predatory in nature.

Most of the people who get locked up are unable to effectively defend themselves and they engage in behavior that puts them on the radar of Law Enforcement.  Want to know why the black crack dealer in Compton has a much better chance of getting arrested than the Beverly Hills coke dealer?  Because the guy in Compton is out on the sidewalk, selling to whoever pulls up along the curb, while the fellow in Beverly Hills only takes customers that he knows or has had reccomended to him and this is done behind closed doors.  The police go after the lower hanging fruit, they are only wanting to put forth enough energy to get the arrest that they have to, plus the guy in Beverly Hills, probably has a lawyer and money hidden away to jump bail.

This kind of attitude, has caused a lot of cops to adopt the persona of them being superior to the average citizen, not all, but a hell of a lot.  It has gotten so that they can confiscate your property and imprison you just by arresting you.  Remember the Bill of Rights, where it says you can’t be deprived of life, property, or imprisoned without due process, well the laws enacted for drug enforcement circumvent the constitution and there is nothing you can do about it, except stay off law enforcements radar.  The FBI just raided the homes of war protestors  on the pretext that they are engaging in terrorist activities.  The First amendment should give these people the right to protest, whether you agree with them or not.

I own guns, a lot of guns, and a lot of ammo.  However, just because of this, and despite the fact that I bought all of my firearms legally, if the federal government wanted to, they could put me on the Deptartment of Homeland Security’s no fly list.  This would pop up anytime I tried to buy a gun and would cause me to not be able to purchase that firearm.  What happened to due process?  The federal government has done away with it.  Just because I happen to be conservative, firearm friendly, and don’t like the government poking it’s nose in my business without just cause, I could end up being arrested, and thrown in jail for as long as Obambi wants, because I don’t fit his profile of what he thinks is acceptable.

And it could be worse:  Don Scott was shot and killed by police in Malibu, California.  The police wanted the land he owned for a new police training site.  He had refused to sell at the ridiculously low price they offered and so, they got a warrant to search for marijuana on his land.  They didn’t find it, but kicked in his door, put a gun to his wife’s head and when he heard her scream, he came out with a gun.  The police ordered him to put his weapon down, and when he did, they shot him.  The DA attorney determined that the raid was done in part to confiscate Mr. Scott’s property.  The police did confiscate his property and even though no weed was found, they never gave it back.  Mr. Scott was killed outright by LA county sherrifs, DEA agents, and other police.  No charges were filed.

Fuck the police.

I’m going to try and learn arabic.

I have found several sites on the internet that will give free language and syntax lessons in arabic, so I am going to try and learn to speak, read, and write it. My main reason for doing this is Sun Tzu’s old adage, that you should know your enemy. I think that right now, the Western world is going to go into battle with the hateful and evil forces of islam and therefore, we should know our enemy in order that we might overcome and destroy them.

I don’t mind saying this, but from what I have read (only in English so far), islam is an evil religion and is morally inferior to satanism. At least satanists admit they worship the devil and muslims try to fool you into thinking they worship the same God as Jews and Christians.

Why solar energy is not currently green.

The photovoltaic effect is the heart of how sun light can be changed into electricity.  A lot of people crow about how it is the perfect type of green energy because it is zero emissions and harmless to the enviroment.  Well, that ain’t so buckaroo.

First off, to get the material for a solar panel, you have to use highly purified silicon, which means that a lot of hydrochloric acid will be needed to purify the silicon.  Next, you will need a lot of electricity to just manufacture the solar panel and the net amount of electricity used to manufacture the solar panel is going to be more than the amount that the solar panel will produce through out it’s expected period of use.  Finally, you will need to find a way to store electricity that is generated, and if you use batteries, not only will you have to make more hydrochloric acid, but sulfuric acid as well.  My best estimate on the increase of acid production would be at least 1 billion tons a year for hydrochloric acid and maybe about half that for sulfuric acid, which means at least a four fold increase in the production for both acids and that is only for acid used by the solar panel manufacturing industry.

So that means the manufacture of solar panels will result in a net decrease in the amount of electricity produced, but that we will also have to deal with the increased problem of handling storage of at least a  billion  and half tons of acidic leftovers on an annual basis.  Give me good old CO2 anytime.

Why I don’t like taxes.

I don’t like taxes.  I really don’t.  Even though Joe Biden seems to feel like I should just open up my wallet and give everything in there to Uncle Sugar, I still don’t like taxes.

Well, I don’t like taxes, because the federal, state, county, and city governments almost invariably waste the tax money they take in, and it isn’t even spent in a way that at least brings some entertainment to me.  When the Republican party found out it had footed the bill for a group of it’s local bureaucrats expedition to a lesbian bondage bar, I enjoyed that and almost considered renewing my membership in the GOP.  Around here, most money that is collected for taxes goes into the pockets of local thugs and capos (i.e., LEO’s and lawyers).  No entertainment value at all.

Next, tax rates have risen and incomes have fallen.  In 2000, I made a little over $100,000 and paid about $20,000 in taxes (federal, state, county, and city taxes combined), and in 2009, I made about $30,000 and paid $10,000 in total for all my taxes.  So I made less, paid a higher percentage in taxes.  That sucks.  While I paid more in taxes, it was a smaller amount of my pay and I had almost 4 times as much in take home pay.

Now, I just got through reading Lewis Black’s interview in the Tulsa World, and he was mocking the Tea Party.  He said that we are against taxes and don’t want to tax the rich.  Well, that’s not true, the rich (meaning people who have a lot of disposable income right now) have already got it set up so that they don’t pay taxes or pay a whole lot less than anyone else would.  Think the Kennedy’s pay a lot of taxes?  No, they have tax shelters and a whole army of accountants and tax lawyers who do nothing but make sure that they keep their money.    They also get laws written so that the wannabe noveau riche, have a much harder time making and keeping money.  Grandfather clauses are written into laws so that people who already have money can keep more of their money, but that when someone comes up with a way to make money through a new service or product or simply from having a valuable skill set, they are automatically going to have to struggle up hill to be able to keep a larger percentage of their earnings.  You see money is power in one of it’s most potent forms, and the rich don’t want to share power, at all.

Need and example?  Microsoft, with it’s offices suite and operating systems has put a lot of hard work into discouraging people from using UNIX.  UNIX is a very powerful and arcane operating system.  In the commercial forms such as Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, it is expensive and hard to learn.  But guess what.  LINUX and FREE BSD are out there too, and they are free and actually kind of easy to use.  For about $15 to $20, you can get the latest copy of FREE BSD and if you have a standard PC or laptop with a bootable CD or DVD drive, you can install FREE BSD on your system.  Now, you will have to learn how to configure it, and set up internet and printer connections, but if you are of at least normal intelligence, you can do it.  You can then also install a whole shitload of software applications that are free and will do everything that Microsoft’s overpriced garbage can do and will often do it better.  Like the idea of being able to create your own .pdf’s?  Free software for that and you don’t have to shell out major bucks for Adobe’s piece of crap to do it with.  You can also get WinE’s or Windows Emulators to run Windows based software apps on your FREE BSD.  The only thing you will have to do, is learn the basics of FREE BSD and maybe buy a guide on the basics of how to use it.  Total investment should be around $30, and that will save you from having to buy a $150 worth of Windows OS’s, addons, and other apps for your computer.  But Bill Gates doesn’t want you to know this and has worked very hard to keep it a secret and he has bad mouthed any other non-Windows based OS to keep you from learning about it.  Same with Apple, even though their current Server based NOS is based on LINUX.

The rich want to keep power and want to keep you poor and ignorant.  They want you to keep paying more taxes, a lot of which is then given back to  them in the form of government bailouts.  I mean with the stimulus acts (both the ones that Bush and Obambi pushed), it would have down a lot more good, if the total payments were divied up equally amongst all American citizens.  That would have totaled about $30,000 for each of us and I know I could have used that money myself.  But instead it was given to corporations, banks, and the states and very little of it has trickled down to us poor peons.  Most  of the money that went to big business and banks, stayed there, very little of it went to small business owners and community banks and credit unions.

So to people like Lewis Black, and his ilk, I say simply, fuck you.  Being poor sucks, and assholes like the Kennedy’s, the Obamas, and the Bush’s, can suck my dick.

Obama says he ignored the Beck rally.

Well, it doesn’t surprise me, Obama has been pretty good at ignoring large segments of American that he doesn’t like.  He is still surprised as to why he has low poll ratings, and that’s because he doesn’t represent the vast majority of Americans.  Those of us that still cling bitterly to our Bibles and guns, also cling bitterly to ideas that we are the masters of the government, and that government should serve us, not the other way around.  Obama shows that he has a complete lack of understanding that he serves the American public and that we can vote his dumbass out of office.  Plus, why doesn’t he realize that the Democrats cling bitterly to taxes, abortion, and the desire to control the every day aspects of the average American citizen?  That we don’t like the government looking with suspicion at people who are are 2nd Amendment supporters, anti-tax, conservative, and who are military veterans or supporters of veterans?  And the left wonders why we cling so tightly to our Bibles and guns.

Review on the Remington LE7615 Patrol Rifle.

Quick and too the point: it shot tight groups using Monarch brass cased .223 Remington Ammo from Academy.  Groups were shot from 200, 300, and 400 yards (didn’t have enough space to shoot a five hundred yard group).  Using Marine Corps grading methods, I would have shot a 232 (with allowances made for the 400 yard group).  That would have qualified as a Expert for the USMC BCM score.

The LE 7615 patrol rifle uses either .223 Remington (civilian version of the 5.56 x 45 mm NATO round) and it can also shoot the 5.56 Nato safely as well.  The receiver is strong enough to handle NATO rounds due the hotter burning powder that the military rounds carry.  Also, the LE 7615 will accept most M-16, AR 15, and M4 magazines.  It shouldn’t qualify as a assault rifle (the media’s version, not the BATFE’s version) as it is a pump action rifle and not a semi-automatic rifle.  Good range, good grouping with iron sights, and handles well.  Just wish they would make it in 6.8 SPC or 7.62 NATO.
